Owen Livesey joins York Railway Institute for a Commonwealth Celebration

Commonwealth -81kg Champion Owen Livesey visited York Railway Institute Judo Club to celebrate his Commonwealth success with members of the club and the Yorkshire and Humberside Area on Friday 29 August

As the Commonwealth Games gold medal celebration got into full swing there was a full mat all night during the Open Randori and junior and senior sessions.

Owen said: “York was a great day. It was good to see so many people come down and everybody got stuck in and enjoyed the session. Thanks to everyone for coming and everyone at the club for looking after me.”

The following day saw a coaching revalidation event was hosted by Craig Fallon and Fitzroy Davis. All in all the weekend was a huge success.
