Registration is now open for the upcoming Regional England Development Squad (REDS) Talent Identification Days which will be taking place in January 2020.

England Judo will be staging two Talent ID events at the following locations:

University of Bath, BA2 7AY – Saturday 18th January 2020
SKK Judo Club, WA12 9NH – Sunday 19th January 2020

To be eligible for the events, athletes must be born in 2004 or 2005.

Athletes must hold a current BJA or affiliate membership.

During the day, players will take part in a range of activities that will be assessed against an agreed National Standard. These activities will focus on players co-ordination and technical abilities.

There will be 3 Regional England Development Squads (REDS) formed as a result of the days (Northern, Central and Southern) and we will confirm squad selections by the end of January 2020.

REDS will then meet monthly for training sessions. Information on these training sessions will be communicated to you when the squads are confirmed.

Parking is available at all venues. Players should bring a packed lunch and plenty of fluids for the day along with their judogi, gym kit, trainers, zori and first aid kit.

Once all entries have been received, we will correspond with you directly to confirm specific information.

Closing date for entries is Sunday 29th December 2019. There is no charge to enter/spectate this event. Club coaches are encouraged to attend the session but must display a valid coaching card.
