Election Results for Non-Executive Directors Announced!
December 16, 2017
The British Judo Association are pleased to announce the results of a recent election which allowed members to vote two Non-Executive Directors onto the BJA Board.
All clubs were invited to vote in the process, and with all votes counted and verified by our Election Service Provider, UK Engage, we can confirm that Andrew Haffner and Loretta Cusack-Doyle have secured their spots on the Board of Directors.
Running along side Richard Martin, Neil Fletcher and Cameron McDowall, Andrew and Loretta received the most votes and as a result will take up a seat on the board as Non Executive Directors.
A total of five candidates stood for nominations throughout the process.
The Board of Directors has the responsibility for setting direction, establishing policy, and overseeing the activities of judo clubs across Great Britain.
The election for the position is a result of our strategic Governance Implementation Plan to ensure that the Association becomes Code Compliant with UK Sport’s Code of Sports Governance.
Please take the time to read our Governance Review Implementation Plan for a full action plan. We will continue to update you of the progress against the actions over the coming months.
