Ronnie Saez Named Commonwealth Judo Association General Secretary and Treasurer
November 06, 2018
British Judo are proud to announce that our Chairman, Ronnie Saez, has been elected as the new Commonwealth Judo Association General Secretary and Treasurer.
Saez was unanimously elected to the role by his fellow peers at the recent Commonwealth Judo Association Congress, currently being held in India ahead of this weeks event.
He will take over the superb work by predecessor Mike Callan and will begin the role immediately.
With judo once again becoming a core sport in Commonwealth Games competition, Saez is keen to drive the sport and Association forward in the build up the 2022 Commonwealth Games, due to be held in Birmingham.
He has also pledged to develop the Commonwealth Judo Association (CJA)’s relationship with the International Judo Federation (IJF).
His term on the panel will last for four years, before a new election is held.
