British Judo announces 2013 Junior and Senior Squads
January 25, 2013
British Judo’s 2013 Junior and Senior squads have now been confirmed.
Players who finished in the top four on the domestic ranking list after the 2013 British Championships have automatically gained a place on the 2013 Great Britain Squad.
We are also pleased to confirm, players who finished in the top four at the 2013 British Championships (who did not finish in the top four of the domestic ranking list), have been co-opted on to the 2013 Great Britain Squad.
A record number of juniors have made the senior squad as 12 junior women and four junior men have all earned senior call-ups.
Paralympic silver medallist Sam Ingram makes the squad at -90kg after starring at the British Championships on Sunday with an impressive bronze medal.

Any player who is not currently identified on the 2013 GBR squad who wishes to be considered for co-option must provide an evidence based performance rationale within 7 days (of 25/01/2013) and email to David Sanders (dave.sanders@britishjudo.org.uk). Your co-option request will then be presented to the Performance Management Group for consideration and you will be contacted thereafter with a decision.
