British Judo Board of Director Eddie Awford awarded 6th Dan

British Judo Board of Director Eddie Awford has been awarded his 6th Dan by British Judo Chairman Kerrith Brown.
Eddie, who is still known as Worcester’s ‘Mr Judo’, has dedicated his life to the Olympic and Paralympic sport having served as a club coach, senior examiner, kata examiner, area technical director among a host of other roles.
The British Judo Kata Commission Chair received his red and white belt from British Judo Chairman Kerrith Brown at the National Governing Body’s latest board meeting in Loughborough.
Eddie said: “I’m delighted to receive my 6th Dan, it means a lot to me and came as a great surprise.”
