Clubmark Revalidation Award for Friary Judo

Friary Judo Club successfully revalidated their Clubmark status in early November 2013 and continues to hold a bronze award.
Since gaining their original Clubmark status in 2009, the Litchfield-based club has gone from strength to strength.
They have relocated to a much larger premises at the Lichfield Scout Hall and increased activity to two sessions per week.
In 2012 the club received a Sports England grant and purchased a complete new mat area to create more space for training their players.
The club now boasts five qualified coaches among its ranks and is looking to train another two instructors to enhance the wide variety of coaching available within the club.
Now Friary enjoys regular attendance of 25-30 juniors and 15-20 seniors on its Tuesday and Saturday morning sessions.
The club has also increased its participation at local and national competitions, winning the Midlands Commemorative competition as well as various masters and high grade competitions.
