British Blind Sport to recruit Stakeholder Board members for IBSA World Games 2023

Further to the exciting announcement in the summer that British Blind Sport have been successful with a bid to host the IBSA World Games in 2023, the bid partners are taking the next steps to support the delivery of a successful international event. British Blind Sport, Birmingham City Council, University of Birmingham and UK Sport are in the process of creating a Stakeholder Board.
The purpose of the Board is to provide oversight and strategic direction to the development, planning and staging of the event. The board will bring together strategic representation from the current stakeholders which will be complemented by several external independent appointees.
British Blind Sport are looking for up to 3 independent board members who understand the role that sport, participation, elite para sport, and major events can play in society.
Closing date for applications is 22nd November 2020.
