British Judo Announce New National Referee Commission and Progressive Events Commission

British Judo is pleased to announce the new commission members for the National Referee Commission and Progressive Events Commission.

James McBeath has been named Chair of the National Referee Commission, replacing Bill Taggart, whilst Sarah Newbury replaces Loretta Cusack-Doyle as Chair of the Progressive Events Commission, formerly National Competition and Technical Officials.

McBeath will be joined by new Commission Members Stefan Newbury, Martin Rivers and Dan Harris who join existing members Keith Merrick, Archi Shrimpton and Carol Leverton.

Meanwhile, Sarah Newbury will be supported by newly appointed commission members Denise Oates and Liz O’Neal who join Paul Sexton, Andy Scott, Tom Hughes, Avril Taggart and Susan Wright.

British Judo welcomes the Commission members into the new positions and wish them every success over the coming months and years as they work towards ensuring refereeing and officiating remain current and progressive.

Progressive Events Commission

Commission Chair: Sarah Newbury;

Commission Member: Denise Oates, Elizabeth O’Neal, Paul Sexton, Andy Scott, Tom Hughes, Avril Taggart and Susan Wright.
