British Judo Launch Throw Yourself Into Judo campaign
May 27, 2015
Today at The Budokwai the British Judo Association hosted the launch event of Throw Yourself Into Judo, a new campaign aimed at encouraging new people to try the sport.
There were more than 40 people at the launch event including representatives from Sport England, the Sport and Recreational Alliance and BUCS in attendance.
The day kicked off with British Judo Association Chairman Kerrith Brown and Chief Executive Officer Andrew Scoular addressing the delegates in the dojo at Europe’s oldest judo club.
The campaign was then officially opened at 11 am with the transmission of a Thunderclap across Twitter.
GB athletes, Nekoda Davis, Gemma Howell, Ebony Drysdale-Daley, Jono Drane, Chris Skelley, Jemima Yeats-Brown, Bekky Livesey, Conor Murphy and Sam Hall alongside some younger members of the Budokwai then did demonstrations and interviews for the media to finish off the day.
