British Judo Supports All Members Online with Accessibility Technology

As part of British Judo’s new website launch, we are pleased to be partnering with Recite Me to break down digital barriers for the judo family.

Part of our Adaptive strategy has been to improve digital accessibility to British Judo communications and provide accessibility support for the 16% of the world’s population, who live with a disability.

To support all visitors to the British Judo website, there are now a range of accessibility and language tools readily available to help users understand content in a way that best suits their individual needs.

Andrew Bowly, Head of Inclusion, Safeguarding and Wellbeing, British Judo commented:

“We’ve been working closely with our accessibility community to look at ways in which we can improve our digital experience, and the implementation of Recite Me has been fantastic. It’s extremely intuitive, and our user feedback has called out the ease of use and variety of options within the toolbar as really big game changers from our previous offering.  It’s been great to roll this out across our portfolio.”

The Recite Me assistive toolbar offers a variety of features, including screen reading capabilities, several reading aids, customisable stylistic options, and an on-demand live translation capability with over 100 languages, including 65 text-to-speech.

The Recite Me toolbar is now available across all devices on the British Judo website.
