Commonwealth Games medallists at Junior European Cup Berlin
August 01, 2014
Great Britain’s junior team will be out in force in Berlin as the final and toughest European cup before the European Championships takes place.
Jodie Myers, England’s 2014 Commonwealth Games silver medallist at +78kg and Jemima Yeats Brown, England’s CWG bronze -63kg medallist will both be in action fresh from their success in Glasgow. They barely had time to unpack their Commonwealth kit at the Centre of Excellence at Walsall before they were whisked off to Berlin.
They are joined by Sam Hall (-60kg), Lucy Renshall (-63kg) and Becky Livesey (-57kg) – all currently ranked number 5 in the world at their respective weights.
Cadet European Championship bronze medallist Neil Mcdonald (-60kg) teams up once more with fellow bronze medallist Lulu Piovesana (-63kg) who is preparing for the Youth Olympic Games in Najing China and Peter Miles (-60kg) who is also getting some international fights under his belt after injury and before China.
Other fighters include Eric Ham (-66kg), George Smith (-90kg), Jodie Caller (-57kg), Ebony Drysdale-Dailey and Jemima Duxberry (both -70kg).
