Davies makes history at Bremen International Masters
November 03, 2022
The Bremen International Masters returned last weekend with Luke Davies (Ealing Judo Club; Jo Crowley) becoming the first British judoka to win the event in 20 years when he claimed gold in the Cadet category on the opening day.
Luke Davies then returned on day two to take a second gold medal in the junior age group, where he joined only four previous winners in history to have done the double at the Bremen International Masters. Davies was joined on the cadet -73kg podium by his England Judo teammate Ben Levy (Budokwai) who won bronze.
Lewis Fryer (Rush Judo; Laurie Rush) took the bronze medal on day two of the competition in the junior -60kg category.
Also competing on the opening day in Bremen was Jamie Death (Bredakwai) who finished 7th in the -81kg category.
