England Judo Celebrates Return To Outdoor Training
September 22, 2020
England Judo Talent Development Programme were delighted to be able to run some outdoor strength and conditioning sessions over the weekend.
Good numbers turned out for the sessions facilitated by High Wycombe Judo Club and United Strength and Conditioning. The fighters were put through their paces and pushed to their limits in the blazing sunshine.
Although there were a number of fighters not able to attend because of the current climate, the ones who were able to attend had a fantastic experience. This was helped by the amazing support of High Wycombe’s Sam Chraniuk, Nikki Harris and United Strength and Conditioning’s Wayne Lakin who were on hand, alongside the England coaches, to motivate and encourage the fighters all the way.
The coming together of the group in this way felt pretty special and was only made possible with a lot of hard work going on behind the scenes. A big thank you goes out to all those involved.
This weekend will see further outdoor conditioning sessions taking place for the younger England Programme fighters.
