BJA Club, Area and National C Refereeing Course – 8th June 2025 – Newton le Willows

This event in the North West is open to EVERYONE who wish to learn how to be a referee from juniors to seniors or want to get an insight into some of the refereeing rules of judo.
Opportunities of levels are: Club, Area & National C.
This is a theory with practical applications workshop. To finalise your award, practical assessment opportunities on Saturday 22nd June 2025 (Area & Nat C learners) @ SKK at the following:

09:15-09:45 registration; 10:00-16:00
Tea/coffee/juice/biscuits provided, please bring your own food provisions during the course.
Please see minimum requirements.
Club Referee:
- 12 years of age
- 10th Mon / 3rd Kyu
- A minimum of 1-year judo experience
- Must hold current BJA / Judo Scotland / NIJF / WJA membership
Area Referee:
- 15 years of age• 13th Mon / 2nd Kyu
- Have been a Club referee for at least 1 year, unless entering directly at Area level
- Must hold current BJA / Judo Scotland / NIJF / WJA membership
National C Referee:
- 18 years of age (unless they started at Club level, it is then 16)
- 18th Mon / 1st Kyu (if going directly to National C, must have satisfied
Fast Track criteria)
- Have been an Area referee for 1 year, unless entering directly at National C level
• Must hold current full BJA / Judo Scotland / NIJF / WJA membership
