Midlands Area Dan Grading – Kidderminster – 16 Nov 24

Due to high numbers and not wanting to have people hanging around, we are moving the women book-in time back slightly. It will now be 12.30-1.00.

Also, after the grading we are hoping to arrange a brief point scoring competition for the 3rd dan woman and possibly 3 and 4 dan men to give them extra opportunities to score points. However, this has yet to be confirmed. Entry will be on the day for those interested and will be free.

The next Samurai/Midlands dan grading is at Samurai judo Club on Saturday November 16. These gradings usually attract a lot of higher grades and to date there are men up to 4th dan and women up to 3rd dan entered.
There are currently four women 3rd dan entered. Two more 3rd or 4th dan women would potentially allow line-ups for women to 4th dan and points at least towards 5th dan. If you are a high-graded senior female player, please come along to get your next grade!

Entries can be accepted on the day (£25 entry fee) but it is better for all if they are entered in advance (£20 entry fee). Please use this link: www.onlineentries.co.uk/samurai . People contact the organisers asking what other higher grades are entered and if the organisers know that high grades are coming, they can say so and this attract other high grades. However, if you are keen to enter but not yet 100% sure, if you email the organisers at club@samuraijudo.uk with your details, they can add you to the provisional list which will encourage other high grades to attend. Please note that this still means a £25 entry fee unless you subsequently enter online. Online entry will remain open until 10pm on Thursday November 14.

Venue is Samurai Judo Club, Zortech Avenue, Kidderminster DY117DY. The club is a superb grading venue, with a 14x14m competition area on a well sprung floor and separate warm-up area.
