FISU Summer World University Games 2025 Nominations Open!

Following the recent British Universities & Colleges Sport (BUCS) Judo competition, nominations have opened for the FISU Summer World University Games taking place in Germany.

This is a major opportunity for student judokas to compete in the World University Games, set to be held in July 2025. This is a significant multisport event where top university athletes from around the world come together to compete. More details about this event can be found here and judo-specific information, as well as the application form, is available on the BUCS website here.

British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS), as the National University Sport Federation (NUSF) within international university sport, sanctions the participation of GB Students on behalf of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

All athletes who wish to be considered for selection must submit the online registration by 11:59 PM on 28 March 2025. As part of the nomination form, athletes are required to submit a BUCS Institution Athlete Nomination form.

Any athlete who fails to complete the online registration and submit the supporting documentation (IANA form) by the deadline may not be considered for selection. The completed form should be sent to gbstudents@bucs.org.uk.

Athletes must also meet the eligibility criteria to compete. Please confirm eligibility before completing the nomination form. The selection policy and appeals procedure and the Rhine-Ruhr 2025 regulations can be found on the BUCS Website.
