Join us on Friday night at the EIS for a Masterclass with Dr Yoko Tanabe 7th Dan and Joyce Heron 7th Dan
March 13, 2019
Are you heading to the English Institute of Sport this weekend in Sheffield ahead of the British Schools Championships? Why not pop in on Friday evening for a masterclass with Dr Yoko Tanabe 7th Dan and Joyce Heron 7th Dan for just £5.00?
Over 70 coaches took to the mat last weekend at the Centre of Excellence for the 2019 edition of “Shaping The Future” featuring both Tanabe and Heron. The pair are again offering the opportunity for coaches to share the mat with them ahead of a busy weekend of action at the 2019 British Schools Championships.
Japan’s two-time Olympic Silver medallist Yoko Tanabe 7th Dan will be leading the class, assisted by British Judo’s own Joyce Heron, a fellow 7th Dan.
Tanabe won silver medals in the -72kg competition at the Barcelona (1992) and Atlanta (1996) editions of the Olympic Games to compliment the five World Championships picked up during her glittering career on the mat.
Mat fees for the evening will be just £5.00 and the masterclass will be open to judoka of all ages.
No pre-booking will be required, simply turn up and the fee will payable on the evening.
Registration will open at 7:00pm with the masterclass running from 7:30pm-9:00pm in the main hall.
