Judo Programme aimed at 3-4 Year Olds Set for January Launch
December 18, 2018
British Judo is introducing a programme that will introduce judo to children aged 3 and 4 in a fun way through play that will help them develop their self-confidence, allow them to master basic movement skills, balance and co-ordination in a safe environment.
By introducing judo to children in a way that focuses on learning essential skills that will provide the child with a sense of achievement while developing their physical literacy giving them head start in developing an active lifestyle.
We know that many clubs and private providers are already successfully working with these children and our aim is to develop a programme which will recognise and support their work in this area.
Starting in January 2019, we will be running a pilot programme for this age group and any club or coach interested in becoming involved should contact Joyce Heron, BJA Deputy Sports Director by email at joyce.heron@britishjudo.org.uk
