Message from NRC on IJF Rules changes
December 15, 2016
Message from the National Refereeing Commission (NRC) on IJF Rules changes
The IJF has recently published a summary of changes to the international contest rules to be effective January 2017. (See: https://www.ijf.org/news/show/adapted-rules-of-the-next-olympic-cycle)
At this time, there are no changes to the BJA contest rules.
As in previous years, following the publication of the IJF rules official text, the Board of Directors will meet to consider how best to implement the new rules within the BJA.
Following a decision by the Board, any changes and their implementation date will be communicated widely to coaches, referees and areas to allow them to prepare.
Athletes and coaches preparing for EJU or IJF level events in 2017 should familiarise themselves with the changes and may wish to watch the IJF seminar which will be streamed live 5th-8th January.
