Neil Fletcher Appointed British Judo Vice Chair

British Judo is proud to announce the appointment of Neil Fletcher as the Vice Chair of the British Judo Board. Following a successful board meeting, Neil has been confirmed in his new role and will begin supporting the recently appointed Chair, Gerry Gualtieri, with immediate effect.
Neil brings with him over 40 years of experience in judo, and joined the British Judo Board in September 2018. Having been recently awarded his 7th Dan, Neil is not only an accomplished judoka but also the Head Coach and Chair of Pudsey Judo Club.
As Vice Chair, Neil will work closely with Gerry, acting as a sounding board on all matters related to judo. He will share responsibilities with the Chair and deputise for him in times of absence. Neil’s extensive knowledge and experience in grassroots through to senior international level judo make him an invaluable asset to the British Judo Board.
Aside from his dedication to judo, Neil is also a Fellow Chartered Certified Accountant. Having worked in several major international companies, he is now focused on financial policy in central government. His expertise in finance and management will undoubtedly contribute to the growth and success of British Judo.
Throughout his judo career, Neil has excelled as a competitive judoka and coach. He continues to be actively involved in the sport supporting young players and developing initiatives for Judo to thrive in all communities, serving as a Senior Examiner and Level Three Coach.
Neil’s appointment as Vice Chair of the British Judo Board marks a significant milestone for both himself and British Judo. The board looks forward to benefiting from his leadership, expertise, and passion for the sport as they continue to promote and develop judo in the United Kingdom.
