Nekoda Davis to deliver Masterclass at Vale Judo Club

TeamGB’s Nekoda Davis will be delivering Masterclass at Vale Judo Club in Rutland in July as part of Sport England’s ThisGirlCan campaign.

ThisGirlCan is a national campaign celebrating active women up and down the country who are doing their thing no matter how well they do it, how they look or even how red their face gets.

The day will be split into two sessions, the morning session for children (under 12 years of age) and an afternoon session for teenagers and adults (12+) and will involve judo games and instruction in suitable techniques.

Plenty of time will be made available after each class to accommodate a question & answer session as well as requests for photographs and autographs.

Nekoda DavisSpeaking ahead of the event Vale Judo Club senior club coach Mike Newton said: “We are delighted to have Nekoda visiting our new dojo to run the #thisgirlcan sessions.

“The girls at the club were very excited to hear that she is coaching and are looking forward to learning her favourite techniques as well as some new drills and games.

“Many of them have already got their British Judo licences ready to collect autographs! Bookings have now started to arrive so we expect busy classes”.

Vale Judo Club are asking for a £4.00 donation per participant with all funds raised from the event will going towards Nekoda to support her efforts to qualify and attend the 2016 Olympics .
