Nekoda Smythe-Davis withdraws from European Games

Nekoda Smythe-Davis has unfortunately had to withdraw from the 2nd European Games.

The Games were set to begin in Minsk from 21st-30th June with the Judo competition set to take place on the opening three days of the event.

Nekoda had minor surgery earlier this year. While every effort has been made by Nekoda and the British Judo Medical and Performance team to get her in the best physical shape to compete in Minsk, the decision has been made to withdraw Nekoda.

She will now turn her attentions to preparing for the World Championships in Tokyo in August and qualifying for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
