Reid finishes 7th at Zagreb Grand Prix

On the final day of the Zagreb Grand Prix, Emma Reid (Redbridge JC; Steve Sandy) finished 7^th in the -78kg category.

After an opening round bye, Reid defeated Jovana Pekovic (MNE) via an osaekomi hold down for ippon score before a semi-final and repechage defeat to Karol Gimenes (BRA) and Alina Boehm (GER) saw the Briton finish in 7^th place.

In the -90kg category, Jamal Petgrave (Westcroft Judo Club; Andy Ede) overcame Artur Kanevets (FIN) before a third round defeat to Klen Kristifer Kaljulaid (EST), whilst Stuart McWatt (Gairoch JC; Stuart McWatt) defeated Teo L Herbier (FRA) in round one before defeat to Rafael Macedo (BRA) in round two.

Elsewhere, in the -100kg category, Rhys Thompson (Enfield JC; George Hyslop) faced eventual gold medallist Aleksandar Kukolj (SRB) in round two following an opening round bye.
