Matside Coaching Award

British Judo’s Matside Coach Award provides the coach with the skills and knowledge that will allow them to improve their Matside coaching and deliver quality service and duty of care to the players they are coaching.

Professionalising this important role is the principal aim, ensuring that the coach and player’s behaviour is consistent with the values of the sport and there is strict adherence to the British Judo Association’s Code of Conduct and Ethics.

Through the certification process, we aim to encourage the highest standards of coach behaviours while they are engaged in the ‘Matside’ coaching process.

To reduce the inconvenience caused by travel, time, and expenses incurred by the learners in attending a face-to-face Matside Coach Award course, British Judo is  offers the Matside Coach Award as an online course.
