UKCC Level 3 Judo Coach Course Now Accepting Applicants for 2018

British Judo is pleased to announce details of next year’s UKCC – Level 3 in Coaching Judo and that the application process for the 2018 learning programme is now open.
The British Judo Association are delighted to announce that the 2018 course fee is part funded and therefore only £500.00 is payable per candidate (usual course fee is £800.00 per candidate). For further possible funding opportunities please contact your local BJA Delivery Officer.
The learning programme is delivered over four weekend blocks.

Block 2 – 18-19 August 2018
Block 3 – 6-7 October 2018
Block 4 – 17-18 November 2018

Minimum Requirements:
All candidates must:
• be at least 20 years of age
• hold a minimum of grade 1st Dan
BJA members must hold a current BJA Level 2 or BJA Level 3 Coach Award (non BJA members must hold a UKCC Level 2 Award)
The UKCC – Level 3 in Coaching Judo is a 1st4sport Award which looks at developing coaches who wish to improve their coaching skill regardless of the participant groups they coach. The programme focuses on a holistic approach that will explore the competitive, technical, tactical, physical and psychological as they apply to the lifestyle needs of the judoka.
We are looking for coaches with several years’ experience who coach on a regular basis who have an appetite for learning and a desire for self-improvement.
Currently valid BJA Level 2 and BJA Level 3 Coaches are eligible to apply to be considered for this programme provided that they fully meet the eligibility requirements. Coaches from other judo organisations are eligible to apply to be considered for this programme provided that they fully meet the eligibility requirements and hold a UKCC – Level 2 in Coaching Judo.
BJA coaches may be able to get help with funding and you please contact their local BJA Regional Delivery Officer for advice. Places are limited so please apply early.
